Booking weddings for 2020 with some 2019 dates still available!
I have played violin at weddings for many years now (since I was 14!), all over the state of Michigan. Even though I am based in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. I’ve played violin at weddings in Detroit, on the shores of Lake St. Clair, Charlevoix, Valparaiso, Indiana, Harbor Beach, and every where in between. My past two weddings have taken me to the Leelanau Peninsula to play violin at a couple of wineries up there.
Generally, a normal wedding that I’ve been booked at includes me playing a bit while guests are being seated, ceremony music, and then once the ceremony ends, I play a bit as guests exit.
However, it’s completely up to the bride and groom ultimately, as I’ve played cocktail hours and even receptions. My base charge is for one hour’s booking.

Wedding Music Selections
Even though I am a violinist, I have played dozens of covers for weddings. Some of my more popular violin covers include:
- Thousand Years by Christina Perri
- All of Me by John Legend
- Can’t Help Falling In Love
- Thinking Out Loud
- Sweet Child Of Mine
- Where the Green Grass Grows
- And many, many more!
I also play quite a bit of traditional wedding music and classical music as well. These can include:
- Pachelbel’s Canon(Canon in D)
- Wedding March
- Bridal Chorus
- Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring
I’ve also had a lot of success playing Vivaldi’s ‘Spring’ from the Four Seasons. It makes a terrific recessional. In addition to all of this, I play quite a few songs from movies, musicals, and even video games. I don’t normally charge extra for custom selections, however, if it is a matter of me needing to purchase sheet music, there will be a charge or you may have to purchase the sheet music for it.
Did I mention that I fiddle also? I’ve actually had the pleasure of being requested to incorporate Irish tunes into ceremonies and pre and post ceremony music. This could be as simple as playing an Irish air during the sand ceremony, or even a jig as the recessional.
Again, as I’m always receiving requests, feel free to contact me today about your wedding at firstname.lastname@example.org. Some clients do book me as far as two years in advance.
