Zachary’s Bio

Zachary Graft has been performing around Michigan for quite some time.  He graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2013 with a degree in violin performance.  He then enrolled for a short time at Michigan State University as a Master’s of Music in violin performance candidate.

It wasn’t meant for him to finish that degree, but he now performs as a freelance fiddler, wedding violinist, and occasionally with bands.

Some of the venues that Zachary has solo sets at include:

The Book Nook and Java Cafe

The Raven Cafe

Wholefoods in Oak Park (Illinois)

Quinn and Tuites

Mocha N Music

Horizon Books

The Peoria Irish Festival (2015,2016)

The Sparta Celtic Festival (2015)

Jackson Coffee Company

Frenz Coffee House

C2C Gallery in Grand Haven

…and a few more!

His Celtic and Irish fiddling has seen him be nominated for a miirish.com “Shammy” Award for favorite performer.  And he did start the GVSU Celtic Music Club in his time at Grand Valley.
